KEY ELECTION DATES FOR 2022

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 23, 2022

  • The deadline to register to vote: July 25, 2022
  • The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot (postmarked by): Saturday, August 13, 2022

A vote-by-mail ballot must be returned and received by the Supervisor of Elections in the county of registration no later than 7:00 p.m. (local time) on election day for the respective election in order to be counted.

Early Voting Dates - Primary Election: August 13-20, 2022

General Election Day is Tuesday, November 8, 2022

  • The deadline to register to vote: Monday, October 11, 2022
  • The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot (postmarked by): Saturday, October 29, 2022*

A vote-by-mail ballot must be returned and received by the Supervisor of Elections in the county of registration no later than 7:00 p.m. (local time) on election day for the respective election in order to be counted.

*For absent stateside and overseas uniformed service member and overseas civilian voters (also known as UOCAVA voters), the deadline for election officials to send ballots is 45 days before an election. For domestic voters, the mandatory period for election officials to send ballots is between 35 and 28 days before an election.'
